Physical reactions due to stress

What are the symptoms of physical reactions to stress? Notice the physical reactions, a racing heart, and shortness of breath, tight muscles or feeling angry and upset.

Some people any experiences headaches, intestinal upset or muscular pains. Stress can also result in changes in breathing patterns.

Understanding the physical manifestations of stress is very important. Cumulative stress can have physical symptoms such as fatigue, changes in an appetite, gastrointestinal problems, or headaches. It may cause insomnia or hypersomnia, irritability, inability or concentrate and hyperactivity or underactivity.

Additionally, it may present with psychological reactions such as fear, dull or nonresponsive behaviors, depression, guilt, oversensitivity, anger, irritability and frustration.

Stress is also a contributing factor in most illnesses. These illnesses include hypertension, heart attacks, migraine and tension, colitis, ulcers, diarrhea, constipations and may others.
